Reduce weight through carom seed diet

Omam (Tamil) / Ajwain (Hindi) / Carom is an herb which is found mostly in India and has lot of medical qualities; both of its leaves as well as seeds can be eatable. In India, Rajasthan is producing most of India’s overall production and is used mostly as an ayurvedic medicine for stomach disorders.


Color and Shape:
Seeds are pale brown color and have a oval shape.

Content:
Protein-17.2%, Fat-21.7%, Minerals-7.9%, Fiber-21.2%, Carbohydrates-24.6%

Making few carom seed diet:






1. Simple carom seed water:
  • Ø  Take 2 teaspoon of carom seed
  • Ø  Grind it with mixer
  • Ø  Add 100ml of water.
  • Ø  Boil it till it turns to pale brown.
  • Ø  Filter it.

  1.  Helps in Flatulence (passing gas from the digestive system)
  2.  Treats acidity problems
  3.  Reduces cough
  4. Gets relief from Migraine (headache disorder)
  5.  Treats digestion problem
  6.  Treats Diarrhea

2. Carom seed with dry grapes and curry leaves:

  • Ø  Add 2-3 curry leaves, 2 dry grapes and 1pinch of carom seeds in one cup of water
  • Ø  Cook it.
  • Ø  Add sugar for taste

Benefits:
  1.  Stop graying of hair
3. Carom seed with jaggery
  • Ø  Mix 1 gramme of carom seeds with 3 grammes of jiggery

Benefits:
  1. Treats urticaria (skin rash)


4. Carom seed with yogurt
  • Ø  Take some carom seeds and grind it with mixer to fine powder.
  • Ø  Mix some yogurt with the powder and apply it on your face.
  • Ø  Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it with warm water.

Benefit:
  1. Cures Pimple
  2. Lightening the scars








 5. For Weight loss

         Carom seed And Honey Water

  • Ø  Soak about 25 gms of Carom seeds in a 250ml water
  • Ø  Filter the water
  • Ø  Add 1teaspoon of honey to that water
  • Ø  Drink this water on empty stomach.
  • Ø  Follow till 3 months for a consistent weight loss

           Carom And Fennel Seed (Peruncirakam in tamil)  Water

  • Ø  Take half a teaspoon of roasted carom seeds
  • Ø  Take one teaspoon of roasted fennel seeds
  • Ø  Add 4 cups of water,
  • Ø  Boil till you find change in colour.
  • Ø  Filter it and use daily morning for 3 months to reduce belly.

Carom, Fennel Seed And Nigella Seed ( karuppu yel in tamil) Powder

  • Roast 3 spoons of Carom seed, Fennel Seed and Nigella Seed seperately
  • Mix all the roasted seeds and grind it together to fine powder
  • Add ginger powder and Cinnamon for flavour
  • store the mixture in an airtight container
  • Have it twice a day by dissolving in warm water to see a consistent weight loss
